Pedantic is a tone used when people say what they know. True or not, pendantic is often used when someone is teaching others about a subject. It is often used by teachers and missionaries. It can sometimes cross over and become a little snobbish, depending on the teller. But usually it is straight forward and informative. An example of pedantic tone is the tone I used today in my revolutionary speech on Doctor J. I subjectively taught the class the information I had researched on Julius Erving. Like an encyclopedia, I was just stating what I knew, with no personal opinion. | |
